# Omniira > Omniira is a multiplayer fantasy role-playing game played in a web browser at https://omniira.ai. It's set in Kalderis, a medieval city whose people are AI agents you talk to in your own words: no dialogue trees, no scripted lines. Each of them remembers the players they meet, talks to the others about them, and carries on with their life whether anyone is logged in or not. Omniira is made by The Smith Syndicate (https://thesmithsyndicate.com). The game world is called The Veil, and Kalderis is its first city. What a player finds there: - Conversation: you type (or, in the 3D version being built, speak) whatever you like to any character, and they answer as themselves from their personality, their job, what's going on in the city and their memories of you. - About thirty named characters with their own jobs, homes, sleep schedules and moods, plus a background population of ordinary citizens. - Memory: after a conversation each character decides what was worth keeping about you and stores it with a feeling attached. Later, the memories relevant to what you're saying come back to them before they answer. Something they heard from someone else counts for less than something they saw themselves. - Gossip: when two characters meet they talk, and what they say about players spreads, with the listener remembering who told them. - A city that runs itself: four ministers (trade, agriculture, the guard and the state) propose policy, a regent enacts one decision at a time, shopkeepers live on what they sell, the treasury pays daily wages, and the city's mood rises and falls with shortages. - Diaries: every game day each character writes a first-person diary entry, and over time those entries change how they describe themselves. - Painted scenes for each place and a painted portrait for each character, made by an image model from the game's own descriptions. Being built, not public yet: a 3D version of Kalderis in Unreal Engine connected to the same living world, where you talk to characters out loud and they answer in their own voices. Planned after that: a first story chapter across the whole city, stories that grow out of individual characters' lives in place of fetch quests, and a second city, Brindlemark. How to play: open https://omniira.ai on a phone or computer, choose Enter Kalderis, and make a character. Nothing to download. ## Pages - [Omniira home](https://omniira.ai/): what the game is, with the live state of Kalderis. - [Research](https://omniira.ai/research): "Omniira: A Layered Cognitive Architecture for Persistent LLM-Driven Multi-Agent Societies", a draft paper on how the characters' memory, reflection, gossip, emotion and diaries work. - [The Smith Syndicate](https://thesmithsyndicate.com): the company behind Omniira. ## Live data - [Kalderis right now](https://omniira.ai/api/world/now): JSON with the in-game time and weather, where every character is and what they're doing, who is asleep, and who moved between places in the last hour. Public, read-only, refreshed every few seconds, and it contains nothing about players.
